I am elated...

at the thought of lunch on the first day. I made a lunch box & setting just like Nancy Drew's and I also have an apple sweater and am bringing a cupcake because I am ridiculous like that.

This makes me laugh hysterically. If Nancy Drew did it, I can right?

  1. Hi Jasmine,
thanks for your email. I'm doing well if by well you mean freezing to death — it's a million degrees below zero here in Chicago! What a great blog you have, especially your tag line "don't type anything stupid (as in sinful or immoral). or else i'll get mad" — I think I'll change it up and start using it in all my conversations, — "don't say anything stupid (as in sinful or immoral), or else I'll get mad!"
I'm very impressed with how you're practicing "doing hard things." There's not very many kids your age that could really be said about (is probably the case for most grown ups, too).
I know going to public school is scary but like you said, if Nancy Drew can do it . . . More important of course is that the Lord is always faithful to his children and will never leave you forsaken and alone but will guide your path because he not only is the Great Shepherd, he is your Great Shepherd. So it's great to see you trusting in Him even when the hard things ahead seem so scary. I'm still learning to practice that in my life, it's just something we're never supposed to grow out of. You can count on me being a prayer partner. Love, Uncle Jon.
